Concert pianist Jarred Dunn is heard on CBC, Classical 96.3, WWFM, WQXR, 98.7WVMO, Belarus First Radio, and many others. He has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist across North America, Europe, and Australia. A laureate of the Lithuanian Chopin (Gold Medal, Concerto Prize), Hoffman, Vitti, Zinetti, and Rome International Piano Competitions, he records for Lexicon and ATMA labels to critical acclaim. Most recently, Górecki’s World of the Piano (ATMA) was hailed “an important album of the highest artistic stature” (PanM 360) and Fanfare Magazine named Chopin’s Diary: The Mazurkas (Lexicon), “some of the finest Chopin since Rubinstein.” He has collaborated with ATMA Quartet, pianists Maria João-Pires and Anna Górecka, and violinist Anna Kuk as DuoMirage.
Dr. Dunn gives lectures and master classes at The Juilliard School, Peabody Institute Pre-College, Mannes Prep Division, Royal College of Music, Guildhall School, Vilnius Conservatory, and many other leading institutions. He is Artistic Director of Kallmünz Summer Piano Festival and is on the artist-faculties of numerous summer festivals. He is a Juror of national and international competitions. His scholarly credits include Górecki's Solo Piano Music (Bloomsbury), journal articles, and lectures for music conferences at home and abroad.
He studied with Andrei Gavrilov, Maria João-Pires, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń, Anna Górecka, Andrzej Jasiński, Dorothy Taubman, Jacob Lateiner and Yoheved Kaplinsky. He is a Yamaha Artist and Tonebase Artist.
